The Tower of London

Most of today was spent walking up and down stairs in the Tower of London. It is only a 10 minute walk over the Tower Bridge, from where we are staying.

Today was much colder than yesterday (1 degree) and snow is forecast over the weekend. I didn't wear quite enough clothes today. Much of the tour was walking around outside. The Crown Jewels were very impressive, the largest diamond in the world was so big it looked like a piece of glass!

The Yeoman Warders (Beef Eaters) were very interesting and this took up most of the day.

Over the road is St Katharines Pier and there were some very ritzy looking boats and we ate overlooking the water.
